Mission
Student Services Fees are mandatory assessments on each campus and provide non-instructional activities and services that make significant contributions to student development. These non instructional programs and activities supplement the academic curriculum and are an integral part of the University educational experience. Both the level and scope of assessment are set through a representative process determined by the Chancellor/Provost on each campus under guidelines determined by the Board of Regents. Each campus will have a fees committee with student majority membership that will recommend a fee to the Chancellor/Provost. Each campus administration will recommend a fee to the Board of Regents. Any exceptions from payment of this fee require authorization by the Board of Regents.

The Campus Activities Committee (CAC) is a student organization that provides educational, cultural, social, and recreational programming for the campus community. CAC encourages the development of leadership skills as students initiate, plan, develop, and participate in an activities program that is sensitive to the diverse needs of the Morris community.

Per Sigma Delta Pi’s national by-laws, the Society’s purpose/mission is multi-faceted:

1. To honor those who excel in the study of the Spanish language and in the study of the literature and culture of the Spanish-speaking world;
2. To foster an understanding, appreciation and respect for the peoples, cultures and societies of the Spanish-speaking world;
3. To honor those who have promoted and reinforced a better understanding of the contributions of the Spanish-speaking world;
4. To serve its membership in support of the Society’s goals and ideals.

The purpose of of this organization shall be to enhance total student-athlete experience by promoting opportunity, protecting student-athlete welfare, and fostering a positive student-athlete image.

Mission
Jane Addams is an intercultural activity where UMM students and members of the local Hispanic community interact in a bilingual setting. It has taken place on Tuesday evenings during the academic year since 2010. It is run by student interns who then become volunteer leaders.

The project is named after Jane Addams, a progressive social reformer and activist, who was on the frontline of the settlement house movement in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. To learn more about Jane Addams check this website: https://www.neh.gov/article/jane-addams-hero-our-time

The mission of Jane Addams is based on the statement that says: “Changes can happen when people work together” and “The soul of this work is the relationships we build as we engage in learning and collaborative action.”
