PAS TALK: Creating Your Own Magic! How To Build a Career That Fits You

Join CAC for this FREE Performing Arts Series masterclass, where magician AnnaRose will share her story of where she wanted to go with her degree and how that life took a 180 after she attended a stage show while she was in college. From a business degree to performing live, AnnaRose had to keep her spirits up despite the various ups and downs of creating and learning the ropes.

To pursue one’s passion, what practical elements do you need to take care of to reach that goal? This is not to dissuade anyone but rather to have an outline to move forward. Entrepreneurial endeavors ALWAYS fall back on practical skills. We hear stories of those who dropped out of school and became hugely successful, but in truth, those are few and far between. Encouraging students to finish their degrees, even if their eventual career has nothing to do with their major, is a stepping stone. The fact of completing a task is essential to building a good skill set.

She’ll share stories of being naive in some of her initial interactions in the entertainment field and what she learned. Each step - good and bad is a learning experience. You just try not to make the same mistakes twice.

There is drive and determination, and then there are the people who lift you up along the way. Learn how to keep your feet on the ground and create a healthy work-life balance.
